There are a few questions marks on the team. Yes, it is an international tournament and some of the more talented players are being given a rest, but the best players available are playing in the Asia League, not in college or on the military team where they are not faced with the same level of  competition.

The best players available and capable of playing should be going to Europe. Especially if the national team is the team being built for the Olympics, the players should be playing together at every chance, and auditions should be coming from the Asia League teams.

There are plenty of international tournaments this year: 2017 Universiade  in Kazakhstan 1-28-2/8, the Asia Winter Games in Sapporo 2/19-2/26 and there’s also the All Korea Winter National Tournament that pits the professional teams and university teams against each other. All perfect opportunities for players to show their talent.
