Anyang Halla 6 – 1 China Dragon
The China Dragon concluded there first home stand of the season in Jillin in front of a huge crowd by Asia League standards. Tonight’s game saw 5,683 fans watch Kondo Katsumasa score his first of the year, assisted by Matti Naatanen and Scott Barney, to open the scoring for the Dragon at 14:21 of the first period. It was a short lived lead however as Eric Regan scored his first of two power play goals on the night at 16:50. Halla held a 14-8 shot advantage going into the second period.
Halla wasted no time getting on the board when Ahn Jin-Hui scored his first of a pair 1:30 into the second frame. His fifth goal of the season assisted by Kim Won-Jung and Kim Sang-Wook. Regan and Radunske gave Halla a little R&R when they teamed up on the power play again as Halla took a 3-1 lead into the third period.
The third period started the same as the second, but a little faster. Ahn Jin-Hui tallied his second goal at 1:21 on a power play with assists by Alex Plante and Kim Sang-Wook. The teams traded chances but no goals came until Sung Woo-Je’s third of the season with help from Shin,Sang-Woo and Ahn Jung-Hyun at 56:58. It was quickly followed by Kim Ki-Sung’s league leading 6th goal assisted by Kim Won-Jung and Ahn Jin-Hui.
Matt Dalton recorded his six consecutive win while Hashimoto Michio took the loss.
