Sangmu will try to avoid getting cut tonight when they host Blades

The Tohoku Freeblades take the bus (Santa’s sleigh maybe?) to Incheon tonight for their fourth meeting with Daemyung Sangmu at 6pm KST. Sangmu went 1-2 in 3 games against the Blades in Hachinoe to open the season. The teams find themselves in opposite positions from the previous three meetings with Sangmu being short-staffed this time. Neither team is afraid to go nuclear. Whether they dress 12 or 20 guys, the penalty box doors often get a workout when these teams clash.

The Blades are 6-4 in their last 10 but have dropped 2 straight They are 4-6 on the road including 2-0 in their last two.  Meanwhile, Sangmu has lost 8 in a row (4 straight at home) and is 1-9 in their last 10 and 3-11 at home.

Sangmu’s power play has been dreadful this year with 7 power play goals at home, yet only one in their last ten games (1/40). The Blades have the second best road power play, 10/37 27%. Sangmu also has the worst penalty kill at home with 64.7%.
